just take a leap
forget about sleep
the message seems loud and clear
to a passerby without fear
approaching to whisper new designs into my ear
crafty lectures, broken poems
without fail there’s no one home
to meet for breakfast
to pay one’s due
makes me wonder why my sky is so blue
but I can change it in an instant
I have been told
and all I am is getting old
with every lesson a season folds
into the history books and minds
written by the criminals
says the man who passes by
